Enjoy Breakfast while watching the Comrades Marathon runners shuffle past

Watch the Comrades in style.  We are getting up really early to put on the coffee machine and Pizza Oven so that you can support our Comrades Marathon runners!   We have a great view of the runners from our terrace so we’re offering breakfast from 6am on Sunday morning (31st May). Try our famous breakfast pizza with a steaming cup of imported Italian cappuccino or a fresh fruit smoothie with a home-baked muffin. Champagne anyone?

It’s nearly time for the rumble of thousands of feet to make the heroic journey from Pietermaritzburg to Durban on Sunday 1st June, as many of you take on the admirable challenge of the Comrades Marathon.

We at La Pizza Pazza salute you for all the time and effort that has gone into preparing for your race.  To support you in your preparation, we will be open from 12 noon on Saturday 31st May until 10pm so that you can carbo load with an authentic Italian pasta.  All pasta dishes ordered on Saturday will be served, on request, with EXTRA pasta at no extra cost to ensure you have a full tank of energy for your run.

Due to substantial road closures we will NOT be open for LUNCH on Sunday 1 June, but WILL BE OPEN as usual from 5pm on race day for refueling after the race.  To celebrate your run, we will offer all runners a free drink with their Sunday meal (glass of wine, soft drink or beer).

Good luck, we look forward to seeing you over the Comrades weekend, and in the words of the Irish blessing “May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back and may the sun shine (not too) warmly upon your face”.  Salute!
